The morning after Halloween, the discovery of a young woman's body prompts Kimiko Fukuhara to jump into action and search for the killer.

Unfortunately, this means dealing with a couple of her exes, including Dick Hadley, the local playboy. He is the prime suspect in the investigation. This poor boy needs help from his friend, the only person in Chillton who puts up with his shenanigans, Chef Rome Kingston of the Kingston Diner.

Honestly, the only reason he puts up with Dick’s nonsense is because he’s so damn charming. Now he’s pulled into a murder investigation with Kimiko raising all kinds of hell.

They’ll come together to solve the mystery of who murdered this young woman and why. Along the way, they’ll realize that a killer isn’t the only monster lurking in Chillton Cove.
